Andrew W. Danies
Andrew is an experienced attorney who concentrates his practice in domestic relations law, general litigation, business law, and municipal law. He supports the firm’s founders, Lisa Knight Davies and Johnson Dunn in cases and manages a full caseload of his own.
Andrew is a member of the Oregon State Bar’s Family Law Division, the Multnomah Bar Association and the Oregon New Lawyers Division. Andrew most recently worked for a large family law firm in Portland, handling complex, high asset divorces. Prior to that, Andrew clerked for the Honorable Jeffrey S. Jones, Clackamas County Circuit Court Judge. Having spent time both in front of judges and in judges’ chambers has given Andrew a unique perspective on what makes lawyers best able to advocate for their clients.
Andrew volunteers his legal services to Child Centered Solutions, a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for the interests of children in high-conflict family law cases. Andrew is also active in Pilots Guiding Pilots, a mentoring program that matches University of Portland students with alumni. He supports the Multnomah County Animal Shelter and Stray Rescue of St. Louis. He is a proud Salzburger, having participated in the University of Portland’s year-long study abroad program in Salzburg, Austria.
An avid sports fan, Andrew can usually be found following the Beavers, Blazers or Timbers throughout the year. He enjoys Oregon craft beer and whiskey, and relaxes by reading books about history. He loves to travel and spend time with his family.
