Ms. Haskell's practice includes advising non-profit and for profit businesses in corporate governance, personnel matters and contracts, family law and municipal law.
Ms. Haskell regularly represents both men and women in domestic relations matters that involve individuals who are on good terms and those who are not. The cases she has handled include closely held family corporations, retirement benefits, complex real estate holdings, spouses who hide assets, child custody, spousal abuse and pre-marital agreements. In addition, she has handled many cases involving grandparent rights and the rights of third parties.
Ms. Haskell also represents local government in both Oregon and Washington She regularly advises on public bidding and contracting laws, intergovernmental agreements, personnel, real estate and eminent domain, and open meetings and open records laws.
In the area of employment law, Ms. Haskell has defended employers against employee complaints lodged in court and filed with the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries and Washington's Department of Labor and Industries and its Human Rights Commission. She regularly advises public and private employers on day-to-day personnel issues, including hiring, termination, employee records, non-competition, wages, drug and alcohol policies, personnel policies and employer rights. She has successfully negotiated severance agreements for both employers and employees.
PERSONAL ACTIVITIES:
When not working, Ms. Haskell can be found chasing her young twins around or kicking a soccer ball with her son. She lives in Underwood, Washington with her husband and enjoys hiking and rafting.
